Welcome to Identity Exploration
The mission of Identity Exploration, using Identity Structure Analysis (ISA), is to promote investigations into individual and societal issues in which people's identity processes are of central concern, whereby professional expertise in research and practice is maintained to the highest scientific, ethical and culturally informed standards. Such issues in contemporary times would include a wide range of arenas such as: education, migration, transcultural interfaces, local cultural manifestations in global contexts, ethnicity, human rights, counselling and psychotherapy, psychiatry, corporate and organisational cultures, human resources, professional development and social work.
Identity Exploration focuses on arguably the most pressing of universal human concerns, namely people's sense of identity: who they are, and how they relate to others in contemporary times. The complex psychological processes in which people engage have hither-to-fore lacked sophisticated tools for their scientific analysis. Identity Exploration is concerned with making available analytic and methodological tools grounded in the innovative ISA conceptual framework of psychological concepts and process postulates pertaining to identity in their myriad manifestations.
Fundamental features of the ISA conceptual framework are operationalised for empirical investigations by way of the facilitative Identity Exploration software ipseus |
